About

About Us

Mount Vernon Baptist Church was organized in 1933 to provide ministry and witness in the Mount Vernon portion of Gray’s Creek. We are involved in cooperation with other churches and the schools through the Gray’s Creek Christian Center in meeting physical needs. We are involved in missions through Disaster Relief, Baptist Builders, mission trips, and ministry within the community.
We are involved in mission partnerships through the Robeson Baptist Association in Pennsylvania and New York, as well as ministry in the local area.
We have worked through the Appalachian Regional Ministries to minister in West Virginia and Kentucky. The World is in view as we reach out through cooperative missions in the Southern Baptist Convention and the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina. In recent years we have been involved in China, Haiti and Moldova. As needs and opportunities arise we seek to be a part of ministry. We are about making disciples to continue to touch the world.
